What is EFT?

EFT (emotional freedom technique) is a hugely powerful technique tool that is flexible enough to work with any issue presented.

It is known as an ‘Energy Psychology’, which is rooted in the ancient Chinese meridian energy system. We can release blocks that cause physical and emotional ailments by tapping on specific meridian energy points on the body.

EFT is based on the discovery theory that all negative emotions are the result of disruptions in the body’s energy system.

While remaining focused on the issue, we tap on the meridian points to balance the disruption in the energy system. Despite the fact that we focus on the issue this is done in a very simplistic, dissociated way that allows the person to work ‘content free’. This means that an issue can be worked on without having to express it in excessive detail, a process that can be uncomfortable and damaging in more traditional psychotherapies.

EFT is a simple process that you will learn in a single session and which you can use for any issue on yourself. EFT is not an everyday kind of practice and so if you are coming for a treatment then I request that you be prepared to engage in new experiences and have an open mind to the benefits that you will get.

Please note that EFT is often effective where many other treatments have failed and that profound physical healings can occur.

What is NLP?

NLP has many definitions some of which I will explain here.

Quite simply, Neuro-Linguistic Programming relates the fundamental dynamics between the mind (Neuro), language (Lingustics) and how their relationship affects our behaviours (Programming).

The characteristic of ‘modelling’ defines NLP from other psychological interventions, which is a process of defining certain behaviours into a language so that we can replicate those behaviours.

This is why it is often called the study of excellence and is the most significant reason why it has transcended therapy and now influences coaching, business, advertising, and training among many other fields.

NLP, like other therapies, does have its own set of models and techniques.

Some of these explore the way that we encode the world through our five senses and how when we change the way that we encode the, the world begins to take on new meanings and understandings.

Using these methods are a quick way that we can change our experience of hurt, stress, anxiety and trauma without even having to talk specifically about the issues that are causing the negative thoughts, beliefs or emotions. This is called working ‘content free’.

Other techniques work on managing our emotional states utilising things such as, but not limited to; language, time distortion, skills, resources and imagination.

It is also encompasses a set of powerful questioning techniques designed to help people achieve their goals quickly and effectively.

What is Integral Eye Movement Therapy?

Integral Eye Movement Therapy is a process that utilises neurological principals in order to create rapid changes.

It replicates the Rapid Eye Movements which are an essential procedure of the brain for mapping out new templates.

Using this method we can transform undesired emotional imprints such as:

It is a very useful tool in the fact that there is no need to verbalise the issue and can be very beneficial for people who find it difficult to talk about feelings and emotions or those who have trouble articulating themselves. While you do have to briefly become present with the feeling you would like to dissociate from, you do not have to go into detail to generate profound and lasting change.

"After having trouble sleeping and experiencing anxiety and stress at work, I tried herbal remedies, yoga and meditation, none of which helped. I then decided to try hypnotherapy. "
